This week's Music Memory comes from our very own David Basskin. Besides being a huge Jazz fan and quite knowledgeable in the genre, David is also a successful businessman and lawyer … your typical over-achiever!  You can often hear his profiles of various artists on “Wake Up … with Heather Bambrick”, and, or course, you’ll catch him each Friday night on JAZZ.FM91 as he hosts “Stolen Moments”.

This week's Music Memory comes from Monica Pease. Regular and loyal listener Monica let us know right away how thrilled she was when we added some Chicago to our playlist.  In her Music Memory, she talks about her stylistically varied musical childhood, and how she was first bit by the Jazz bug.

This week's Music Memory comes from Brian Barlow. Brian is a first call studio musician, arranger, producer, drummer, and percussionist.  When he’s not doing all of that, he’s either leading the Brian Barlow Big Band, or busy as the Artistic Director of the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival.  (Rumour has it he’s also been trained as a dancer – but you didn’t hear that from us!)

This week's Music Memory comes from Kate McGarry. Kate was the first vocalist signed to the prestigious Palmetto label, and has recorded 5 CDs on that label, including her Grammy-nominated recording If Less Is More, Nothing Is Everything.  She has collaborated on several projects with Fred Hersch and Kurt Elling, and is a member of the vocal ensemble Moss, with Peter Eldridge, Lauren Kinhan, Theo Bleckman, and Luciana Souza.
